Cotswold Koi was established in 2008 by Robert smith and Lewis barber both been keen koi hobbies since the age of 12 both deciding that our hobby needed to go to the next level we decided to set up a dealership after acquiring the barn at Sturt farm in June 2008 we began work to build the stock tanks. Still both working full time jobs, then working late evening and weekends the shop began to take shape and was almost complete by December 2008 both now looking forward to our trip to Japan in February 2009 with Allen Karl former owner of fishy things at Standlake. Before we knew it we were on the plane for our first buying trip to Japan with Allen. After an amazing eye opening week in Japan we had selected our stock for our first year. Between us we had over 12 years Koi keeping experience. Unfortunately Lewis decided to sell his interest in the company due to other commitments in 2010.

We have always prided ourselves on our superb fish health. Our fish are only imported from Niigata Japan and all our Koi are quarantined for several weeks on arrival before sale.

At Cotswold koi we are currently stocking a wide variety of Japanese Koi and Sturgeon on our new site near Burford on the A40. We regularly visit Japan to select high grade koi for our customers. We are proud of our reputation for having quality Koi at reasonable prices. Our Japanese Koi start from only £5 and go up to £900.
